Like many, we are currently in the midst of cancelling dive travel plans for the remainder of 2020. As we go through the steps of cancelling our trips to far-flung dive destinations we have been thinking of ways to improve future customer travel experiences. One of the biggest lessons learned through this process is that Travel Insurance is equally as important to a vacation as other costs such as airfare. Understandably, many travel insurance companies do not have existing policies or procedures in place for global pandemics. We have done a bit of research on dive and travel insurance and have found a company, DiveAssure, that has created a reasonable policy for refunds surrounding COVID19.
